Senior Software Architect
VISION:One architect across every layer, bridging mainframe-grade reliability with cloud-native speed.
Architecting 20+ years of high-velocity transformations across cloud-native topologies (AWS Fargate / EKS / Lambda / Aurora, Azure AKS & Service Bus, Kafka Event Meshes, Istio Service Mesh, DDD) and the high-liability legacy cores they replace (Mainframe, COBOL, VSAM, Assembler, C++). Deleveraging enterprise risk and delivering measurable cost savings and faster delivery at Dow Jones (Factiva), Navy Federal, and Fidelity Investments, and leading the phased Title SOR modernization at Toyota Financial Services.

🏆 02. Case Studies & ROI
Salesforce SOR Decommissioning & Event Mesh
Defined the enterprise transformation map and domain boundaries to safely decommission a monolithic Salesforce Title System of Record (SOR), replacing it with a cloud-native microservices platform on AWS Fargate and an Apache Kafka event bus for event-carried state transfer.
Factiva C++ Monolith to AWS EKS & Istio Mesh
Led the modernization of the flagship Factiva business intelligence query engine from legacy C++ into Java microservices orchestrated on AWS EKS with an Istio Service Mesh.
Mainframe CGI CACS Reverse-Engineering
Reverse-engineered Mainframe COBOL/JCL batch processing flows (CAC220) to modernize collections into CACS X cloud microservices. Led gap analyses and schema conversions to preserve referential integrity across multi-million record lending lines.
Architecture Reviews & Kata Honors
Awarded Semifinalist in the global O'Reilly Worldwide Architecture Kata (March 2025). At Fidelity Investments, built a production-grade toolkit prototype that replaced proprietary Adobe enterprise APIs with open-source frameworks, yielding $200K in annual licensing savings, while contributing to Architecture Review Boards.
📜 03. Architecture Decisions (ADRs)
Salesforce SOR Decommissioning & Event-Carried State Transfer
Problem: Toyota Financial Services relied on a monolithic Salesforce instance as the System of Record (SOR) for vehicle titles. Monolithic schema coupling made turnaround and vendor interactions slow and hard to change.
Decision: Decommission Salesforce SOR for title operations. Stand up AWS Fargate microservices with an Apache Kafka event bus employing Event-Carried State Transfer to decouple bounded contexts.
Targeted outcome: Shorter customer request turnaround and a clear path off the monolithic Salesforce SOR. Phased deployment is in progress.
